This summer, with no job and a puppy to watch, I have done a lot of knitting. I never thought there was such a thing as too much knitting, but apparently there is. I have been having dull pains in my forearms, and both my index fingers are shot: I made a puncture wound in my left index with a 4.0 cm, and I have a rugburn-like callous on my right from holding the yarn. My husband has put me on the disabled list: no knitting for at least two days. And I was gonna start
for my dad, perfect for his two favorite hobbies (cigars and fishing).

Stash Enhancement Expedition.
Pick out more patterns and yarn to go with it.
Read back issues of Knitty.
Catch on on reading.
Go play with your puppy.

Same thing that you do while waiting for your man to arrive from his endless journey to begin R&R: spend entirely too much time on the internet riling yourself up, post on your blog...and then see if there are some episodes of Law and Order playing on TV that you haven't seen yet.

Definitely, go finish the quilt. I switch off from time to time. I'm also working on painting a piece of molded glass (factory made) with nail polish (3/$1 at the $ store. I think it'll look really pretty in the south window of the kitchen.
I KNOW you have projects that are unfinished! So don't even argue. Git stitchin'!

Well, I keep myself pretty busy with construction racist rants, practicing being a small-minded harpy, looking down my nose at everyone darker than me, and just generally being an unpleasant person. It does fill up my day!
If I have extra time, I like to bitch about policemen who just worked a week of 20-hour shifts with no food, no water, no electricity, no communications, no gasoline, no safe place to sleep, in waist deep fetid water, with ammunition running out, with their families maybe dead, against armed gangs who outgunned them. And who then want time off! Can you imagine!
Busy, busy, busy!
