FINALLY

I started a sweater while my husband was in Iraq, messed it up, and let it sit without touching it for two years. Well, I finally picked it back up, ripped it all out, and started over. I am happy with the final results.

But I'm kinda bummed that I now live in a place where I can't wear sweaters. Two seconds after taking this photo, I had to rip the sweater off before I suffocated. It's so danged hot here. Not that I'm complaining: my parents have been snowed into their house in Illinois for two days. Literally. They can't get out of the driveway.

But now I'm a knitter with a closet full of sweaters and scarves, and it's 76 degrees in December.

2 Maybe it's a good thing Christmas is just around the corner! You can always knit new ones when you move back into snow country.

4 A pox on thee Goody Sarah for thy complaining ways! I had to go to out at 5:45 am this morning and was roundly cursing my Mayflower ancestors for not getting that blinking ship steered DOWN the coast a bit more. Then cursing the ancestors who were paid for their Revoluntionary War service with big chunks o'land here in the Hoosier State. Then cursing my parents who met when Dad was stationed in Florida and Mom was going to school there for not staying PUT. I love Indiana,I really really do. But boy was it hard to work up enthusiasm for this dark and frigid morn. PS Charlie and the sweater are cute though.
