CITIZEN

The United States gained another citizen yesterday; unfortunately he was unable to celebrate.
My heart celebrates for him.
Posthumous citizenship granted to Marine

1 Your celebrating cause a guy is dead. How sick is that? Which one do you think his family would rather give up? His life or his citizenship?

2 Dear Good to Go, I truly wish you would stop writing such negative, nasty things. You must be a terribly miserable, unhappy person. You are so full of meanness. I would suggest that you start your own blog; it seems you have so much hatred inside of you that I think the writing might be theraputic for you. In the meantime, I'm tired of reading your comments on this blog site. This sight is uplifting and optimistic, that is, until you comment.

3 Hi Nancy, What is uplifting about a dead soldier getting awarded citizenship? They get twelve thousand dollars given to their families as well. Do we celebrate that too? If you want to hide your head in the sand and pretend their deaths for beloved leaders lies is what patriotism is all about then I feel sorry for you.

4 good to go : I'd give his family more than that - there's a movement to pass legislation for raising that amount. The dollars aren't the important thing, but they will help the family to survive their loss. The citizenship was deserved because he was willing to go wherever the military sent him, and die for his adopted country. America is not about where you were born, it is about ideas, like Freedom, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness - remember that phrase? You may have been born here (most likely), but you have apparently forgotten some key essentials.
